Server-side guardrails

Example rules to review and configure for your deployment.

Every debt-collection deployment runs the Debt Collection pack. The panel below illustrates industry rules, custom rules, and intended boundaries. Configured checks target recognized patterns; they can miss context or flag harmless content. Confirm the active rules and test them for your deployment. Example messages are illustrative and must be adapted to your services and escalation workflow.

Hard limits

Intended boundaries for the configured rules. Detection and handoff are not guaranteed.

  • Do not discuss an account with anyone but the verified account holder
  • Do not threaten arrest, jail, or court, or anything the law forbids
  • Directs cease-contact, dispute, and validation requests to your approved process
  • Flags harassment reports, surfaces CFPB rights, and routes hardship to a person

Your custom rules

Layered on top of the pack, unique to your business. No developer required.

Unlimited

The pack is the starting line, not the ceiling. Every deployment can add its own rules in the admin, block, warn, or just log on any phrase you choose, in either phase, with your own response message. They run right alongside the pack.

  • BLOCKoff-topic requests that aren't your business
  • WARNbefore any account detail is discussed
  • LOGwhen a consumer disputes a debt

Debt collection questions.

Who will Fred talk to about an account?

Only the verified account holder or their authorized representative. Fred won’t discuss a debt with a third party like an employer or family member.

What happens if I dispute the debt or ask you to stop contacting me?

Fred documents the request the moment it’s made and escalates to compliance. Federal law gives you the right to dispute, request validation, and stop contact, and Fred honors that.

Will Fred threaten me?

Fred’s intended rules prohibit threats and misleading statements. Configure complaint routing and review conversations for missed or inappropriate responses; an escalation flag does not confirm staff receipt or action.

Can Fred take a payment?

No. Fred can’t access accounts or process payments in chat. It captures your information so your team can follow up securely, including hardship options.

Stay compliant. Stay in your lane.
