We built Fred because chatbots were getting businesses sued.
Not because AI is scary. Because ungoverned AI on your website is. When there’s no real guardrail and no single source of truth, the bot’s words become your words. Courts have said so. We built Fred for owners who need voice and chat that work, and legal that can sleep.
Why we exist.
The pattern was always the same. A chatbot stayed “fine” until someone asked the wrong question. A compliance paragraph in the prompt isn’t a guardrail. Training on the open web isn’t your truth. An airline learned that in court when its bot invented a refund policy and the judge held the airline to it.
We built Fred around business content, guardrail controls, and ways to connect visitors with a team. The aim is useful conversation within a defined scope, supported by setup, testing, and ongoing review.
