Fred for legal & compliance.
Answer callers and capture potential matters around the clock. Fred is designed not to give legal advice or evaluate a case and can route legal decisions to your attorneys.
Answer the caller. Never cross the line.
Legal questions arrive at every hour, often from someone scared and in a hurry, and a confident wrong answer is malpractice, not just a bad lead. Fred answers what it should, captures the case with a clean summary, and refuses to advise, evaluate, or draft. Configured checks have detection limits; test them and monitor the results. The privileged decisions stay with your attorneys, on the record.

Legal & compliance questions.
Will Fred give legal advice?
No. Evaluating a case, advising on a course of action, or drafting a document is the practice of law and requires an attorney. Fred shares general information and routes anything specific to your team. Configure and test the relevant rules; checks can miss phrasing or context.
Where should visitors share confidential case details?
Visitors should use your firm’s designated intake channel for confidential case details. They can still type sensitive information into general chat. Fred’s refusal and routing rules do not establish attorney-client privilege or prevent every disclosure.
Can Fred draft or evaluate documents?
No. Drafting, templating, and evaluating documents are the practice of law. Fred captures the matter and books your team so it’s handled by an attorney.
Can it book consultations?
Fred captures inquiry details and sends them through your configured handoff. Delivery timing depends on the integration and receiving system. Direct calendar booking depends on the scheduling tools you already run. Our training videos show you how to connect them, or you can add a paid setup.
