How Fred works.
From the moment a visitor lands to the moment a scored lead reaches your team, here is exactly what happens and how you set it up.
What the visitor sees
- A visitor lands on your site and Fred’s widget appears, voice, text, or both, your choice.
- Visitors can share contact details through a consent step. Review the fields, consent language and collection flow for your deployment during setup.
- A Phase 1 webhook delivers that contact to your CRM after contact capture. Delivery time depends on the configured integration and receiving system.
- Fred answers questions, recommends, and qualifies the lead.
- When the conversation ends, a Phase 2 webhook sends the full transcript, detected intent, and sentiment.
- Your team follows up with full context, while the visitor is still warm.
Setup, step by step
With the WordPress plugin everything is point and click from the dashboard. There is no code to write.
- Install the plugin and enter your license key
- Run the setup wizard and add your AI provider key
- Choose voice, text, or hybrid
- Turn on consent capture and select your industry guardrail packs
- Connect your CRM webhook or a native integration
- Place the widget and test a conversation
How long it takes
- Basic setup. Install, configure a provider, place the widget, and test.
- Lead-capture setup. Configure consent, guardrails, and a CRM connection, then test delivery.
- Expanded setup. Add your knowledge base, commerce, and advanced options, with time for configuration and testing.
